Important: Test the standard front camera functions before installation. Replacing the complete assembly will restore selfie photography and video functionality but will not restore Face ID because the infrared camera and dot projector are paired to the original logic board. Retaining only the original earpiece sensor flex is not sufficient to preserve Face ID. Handle the cameras, flex cables, and connectors carefully during installation.
